Аннотация

The growing demand for efficient and sustainable wastewater treatment methods has driven interest in alternative adsorbent materials. This study explores the utilization of biochar produced from cotton plant remains as a low-cost, environmentally friendly, and effective solution for wastewater purification. The article examines the preparation process of biochar, its physicochemical characteristics, and its performance in removing contaminants such as heavy metals, dyes, and nutrients. Emphasis is placed on the material’s adsorption capacity, regeneration potential, and lifecycle sustainability. Results indicate that cotton-derived biochar can play a significant role in decentralized, eco-conscious water treatment systems.
