Аннотация

Mathematical models have become a vital tool in understanding, predicting, and mitigating cybersecurity attacks. As cyber threats continue to evolve in both complexity and scale, the application of mathematical techniques such as game theory, Markov chains, differential equations, and optimization methods is proving essential for modeling attack scenarios and designing defense strategies. This paper explores the role of mathematical models in cybersecurity, particularly in understanding the dynamics of attack strategies, evaluating the effectiveness of defense mechanisms, and optimizing resources for better protection. It focuses on various mathematical approaches used in the analysis of cyberattacks, including modeling the behavior of attackers and defenders, predicting attack outcomes, and optimizing security strategies. Through case studies and practical examples, the paper highlights the application of these models in real-world cybersecurity situations. It also discusses the challenges associated with using mathematical models in cybersecurity and offers insights into future directions for research in this field.
