Аннотация
Portulaca oleracea (commonly known as purslane) is a medicinal plant rich in bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, alkaloids, polyphenols, and omega-3 fatty acids, which contribute to its antimicrobial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties. This study explores the extraction methods for bioactive compounds from P. oleracea using solvent-based and green extraction techniques and evaluates its antimicrobial efficacy against bacterial and fungal pathogens. The antimicrobial activity was assessed using agar well diffusion and minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) tests. The results indicate that extracts from P. oleracea exhibit significant antimicrobial properties, making it a promising candidate for natural antibiotic development and pharmaceutical applications.
