Аннотация
Shadow banking, comprising non-bank financial intermediaries, has grown significantly in global financial markets, raising concerns about its role in systemic risk. This paper empirically examines the relationship between shadow banking activities and systemic risk, focusing on the mechanisms through which non-bank financial intermediaries contribute to financial instability. Using a comprehensive dataset spanning major global financial markets from 2005 to 2020, the study employs panel regression analysis and network modeling to assess the impact of shadow banking on systemic risk indicators such as credit spreads, liquidity shortages, and contagion effects.
