Аннотация

Autoimmunity represents a significant challenge in immunology, characterized by the immune system's failure to distinguish between self and non-self, leading to the destruction of host tissues. This paper explores the intricate balance between autoimmunity and immune tolerance, emphasizing the mechanisms that govern this relationship. Immune tolerance is essential for maintaining homeostasis and preventing autoimmune diseases. We will discuss the role of regulatory T cells, the influence of genetic and environmental factors, and the implications of these interactions for therapeutic strategies. Understanding the dynamics of autoimmunity and immune tolerance is crucial for developing effective interventions for autoimmune disorders, which affect millions worldwide.
