Аннотация

In the contemporary digital age, the hospitality industry is undergoing a significant transformation driven by advancements in smart mapping and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). This paper investigates the evolving concept of “digital hotels” and the integration of GIS in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), especially during hotel site selection, design, and operations. The study explores how smart mapping technologies enable better planning, reduced environmental footprints, and improved customer experiences. Using case studies and GIS-based modeling, it emphasizes the growing need to harmonize digital innovation with environmental sustainability. The paper also highlights the potential of GIS to anticipate environmental risks, support green certifications, and enable smart tourism planning.
