Аннотация
Corn cobs, an abundant agricultural waste from corn plants, offer a promising source of cellulose and starch. Cellulose, a polysaccharide with versatile applications in materials science, and starch, a carbohydrate widely used in food and industrial processes, can be extracted efficiently from corn cobs. This review presents the current methodologies for extraction, characterization, and potential applications of cellulose and starch derived from corn cobs. Emphasis is placed on environmentally sustainable extraction techniques and valorization that contribute to a circular bioeconomy model.
