This review examines the evolving conceptualization of identity within the dual contexts of multiculturalism and digital transformation. The paper synthesizes theoretical frameworks from postmodern philosophy, postcolonial studies, and digital identity research to explore how individuals navigate multiple cultural identities in virtual environments. This review argues that identity in multicultural and digital societies operates as a fluid, constructed phenomenon that transcends traditional binary categorizations. The analysis reveals how digital platforms serve both as spaces for cultural preservation and sites of identity negotiation, while highlighting the emergence of hybrid consciousness that challenges essentialist notions of cultural authenticity. The findings suggest that digital technologies fundamentally reshape identity formation processes, creating new possibilities for multicultural expression while simultaneously presenting challenges for maintaining coherent cultural narratives in virtual spaces.
