Аннотация
This review paper examines the evolving dynamics of Turkmen-Russian relations since Turkmenistan’s independence, with primary emphasis on geopolitical, economic, and security dimensions. The complex interplay between Turkmenistan’s doctrine of neutrality, energy diplomacy, and domestic political priorities has guided its engagement with Russia, while Russia’s efforts to maintain its influence in Central Asia have shaped much of the bilateral relationship. Through the examination of primary literature and recent analytical studies, the paper contextualizes the historical transformations, cooperative successes, and ongoing frictions, ultimately assessing future trajectories in the wake of shifting regional balances.
