Аннотация

This paper reviews the production technologies, constituent materials, and physicochemical properties of fire resistant (refractory) bricks. Emphasis is placed on alumina–silica systems, manufacturing steps (raw material selection, forming, drying, firing), and how composition and microstructure govern thermal stability, mechanical strength, and thermal conductivity. Sustainable approaches—including waste-derived pore formers and recycling of refractory wastes—are discussed along with characterization methods used in the field. Representative recent studies and standards are cited.
