Аннотация

The strategic placement of power generation facilities is critical for ensuring operational efficiency, environmental sustainability, and economic feasibility. This study presents a comprehensive suitability analysis for the selection of a new power plant location, integrating multiple criteria including geographic, environmental, social, and infrastructural factors. Geographic Information System (GIS) tools and Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) methods were employed to evaluate potential sites based on proximity to fuel sources, water availability, transmission infrastructure, population density, land use patterns, and environmental constraints such as protected areas and ecological sensitivity. The analysis also considers potential risks, including natural hazards and socio-political factors, which could influence long-term operational stability. Results indicate that the most suitable site balances technical feasibility with minimal environmental impact while optimizing accessibility and cost-effectiveness. This approach demonstrates a systematic methodology that can guide policymakers, engineers, and planners in making informed decisions for sustainable energy development.
