Аннотация

Activated carbon (AC) is a high-surface-area, carbon-rich adsorbent widely used in water purification, gas separation, catalysis, and environmental remediation. With the increasing need for low-cost, sustainable, and locally available raw materials, mulberry (Morus alba) wood emerges as a promising precursor for activated carbon production due to its high lignocellulosic content, low ash fraction, and abundant availability in agricultural regions. This article explores the feasibility, pyrolysis mechanisms, activation techniques, physicochemical properties, and potential applications of activated carbon derived from mulberry wood.
