Аннотация
The marble industry generates large quantities of solid waste during cutting, polishing, and finishing operations. Marble waste, mainly composed of calcium carbonate (CaCO₃), poses serious environmental problems when disposed of improperly. At the same time, nano-calcium carbonate (nano-CaCO₃) is a high-value material widely used in plastics, rubber, paper, coatings, pharmaceuticals, and construction industries. This paper presents the production technology of nano-calcium carbonate from marble industry wastes and discusses its major industrial applications. The processing routes, synthesis methods, characterization techniques, and environmental and economic advantages of waste-derived nano-CaCO₃ are analyzed. The study demonstrates that marble waste can be effectively converted into value-added nanomaterials, supporting sustainable industrial development and circular economy principles.
