Increasing urbanization and rising global temperatures have intensified the need for construction materials that can reduce heat absorption and improve energy efficiency in buildings. Heat-reflecting white tiles are an effective solution for mitigating heat accumulation on roofs and pavements by reflecting a significant portion of solar radiation. This paper presents the technology for producing heat-reflecting white tiles using locally available sand as the main raw material. The study discusses raw material preparation, formulation strategies, tile manufacturing processes, and mechanisms responsible for thermal reflectance. Environmental, economic, and energy-saving benefits of using local sand resources are also analyzed, highlighting the potential of this technology for sustainable construction and urban heat island mitigation.
