Аннотация
Reading and writing are essential skills in English language learning, yet many learners encounter persistent difficulties that hinder their development. Common challenges include limited vocabulary, insufficient exposure to authentic texts, lack of practice opportunities, and low learner motivation. This article explores these challenges and proposes practical, evidence-based strategies to improve reading and writing competence. Emphasis is placed on learner-centred approaches, the integration of digital tools, authentic materials, and interactive tasks. Drawing on classroom experiences and contemporary educational research, the article argues that combining structured guidance, technology-enhanced activities, and reflective practices can significantly enhance students’ literacy skills in English.
