Аннотация

The growing interconnection between language proficiency and professional competence has led to increased attention toward Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) as an innovative methodology in higher education. This article examines theoretical foundations, methodological principles, and practical applications of CLIL in English language teaching at universities. The study argues that integrating subject-specific content with English instruction enhances communicative competence, academic literacy, and professional readiness. Drawing upon communicative language teaching, constructivist learning theory, and competency-based education, the article proposes a structured CLIL model adapted to higher education contexts. Particular emphasis is placed on curriculum alignment, instructional strategies, assessment mechanisms, digital integration, and teacher collaboration. The findings suggest that CLIL contributes to deeper cognitive engagement, interdisciplinary coherence, and improved academic performance, thereby strengthening overall educational quality.
