Аннотация
Helical antenna technologies represent a mature yet continuously evolving class of radiating structures widely applied in satellite communications, space telemetry, global navigation systems, and broadband wireless links. Characterized by their simple geometry and capability to produce circular polarization, helical antennas operate effectively in axial and normal radiation modes depending on their structural parameters. This article examines the theoretical foundations, electromagnetic operating principles, design methodologies, and contemporary applications of helical antennas. Emphasis is placed on radiation mechanisms, impedance characteristics, gain optimization, bandwidth performance, and miniaturization techniques. Recent advances in materials, additive manufacturing, and integration into compact communication systems are also discussed. The analysis demonstrates that helical antennas remain highly competitive due to their structural simplicity, wide bandwidth, and polarization robustness in multipath and space environments.
