Аннотация

The rapid increase in plastic consumption worldwide has created serious environmental challenges due to the accumulation of non-biodegradable plastic waste. Conventional plastic materials require hundreds of years to decompose and contribute significantly to land and marine pollution. At the same time, modern transportation systems require durable and cost-effective road construction materials capable of withstanding heavy traffic and changing environmental conditions.

One innovative solution to both problems is the use of plastic waste in asphalt production. Plastic-modified asphalt technology involves incorporating recycled plastic materials into asphalt mixtures to improve pavement performance while reducing environmental pollution. This technology supports sustainable infrastructure development and circular economy principles by converting waste plastics into valuable construction materials.
