Аннотация
The increasing generation of agro-industrial residues has created significant interest in sustainable waste management technologies that simultaneously address environmental concerns and renewable energy demands. Grape seeds, a major by-product of the wine and juice industries, represent a promising lignocellulosic biomass resource for biogas production through anaerobic digestion. Although grape seeds contain valuable oils, polyphenols, proteins, and dietary fibers, substantial quantities remain underutilized after industrial processing. This article reviews the technological aspects of biogas production from grape seeds, including feedstock characteristics, pretreatment methods, anaerobic digestion processes, operational parameters, methane yield optimization, and industrial applications. The integration of grape seed valorization into bioenergy systems supports circular economy principles and enhances the sustainability of the viticulture and winemaking industries.
