Аннотация
The global transition toward sustainable development has intensified interest in the bioeconomy as a strategic framework for achieving economic diversification, environmental sustainability, and technological innovation. For resource-dependent economies, particularly those heavily reliant on hydrocarbon exports, the bioeconomy presents significant opportunities to create new industries, generate employment, enhance food security, and reduce environmental pressures. Turkmenistan possesses substantial biological resources, including agricultural biomass, livestock products, medicinal plants, desert ecosystems, and renewable biological feedstocks that can support the development of a national bioeconomy. This article examines the potential for establishing a national bioeconomy strategy in Turkmenistan and analyzes its role in promoting sustainable economic diversification. The study explores the country's biological resource base, identifies priority sectors for bioeconomic development, evaluates existing challenges, and proposes strategic policy measures for creating a competitive and sustainable bioeconomy ecosystem.
