Аннотация

Quantum computing is expected to influence the security architecture of modern telecommunications by challenging widely used cryptographic mechanisms and altering approaches to data protection. This study examines the implications of quantum computing for telecommunications cybersecurity and evaluates strategies for maintaining confidentiality, integrity, authentication, and long-term data security. A qualitative methodology based on structured literature analysis, comparative assessment, and thematic classification was employed. The findings indicate that public-key cryptographic systems represent the most significant area of exposure, particularly for long-lived sensitive data and large-scale network authentication. The study further identifies post-quantum cryptography, cryptographic agility, quantum key distribution, inventory management, and phased migration planning as central protective strategies. The analysis concludes that telecommunications providers should begin transition planning before large-scale quantum computers become operationally capable of threatening current cryptographic systems, because infrastructure complexity and long technology lifecycles may considerably delay security migration.
