Аннотация
The article examines the genre and artistic features of Ulugbek Hamdam's mini-novel «Namatak» (2013), one of the distinctive works of contemporary Uzbek literature. Particular attention is paid to the genre structure of the mini-novel, its compact composition and semantic capacity, the relationship between plot and time, and the artistic representation of generational continuity. The rosehip image is analyzed as a symbolic motif associated with human destiny, love, family, time and the continuity of generations. The compositional and philosophical function of the refrain «As a person looks at the world, so the world responds to a person» is also examined. The article reveals the writer's use of artistic detail, symbolism, psychological description, landscape, repetition and philosophical reflection.
