Unlike the traditional “one-size-fits-all” model, personalized medicine considers individual differences in genetic characteristics, molecular profile, lifestyle, environmental factors, medical history and response to treatment. The development of genomic technologies, molecular diagnostics, pharmacogenomics, bioinformatics, artificial intelligence and digital health has created new opportunities for more accurate disease prevention, early diagnosis and targeted treatment. This article examines the main principles of personalized medicine, its role in disease prevention and treatment, major areas of clinical application, advantages and limitations, and prospects for further development. Particular attention is given to the importance of genomic information, individualized drug selection, early risk assessment and the integration of digital technologies into clinical decision-making. The article emphasizes that successful implementation of personalized medicine requires not only technological development but also ethical standards, protection of medical data, professional training and equitable access to innovative healthcare.
