Аннотация
Communicative competence is one of the fundamental objectives of contemporary foreign language education. In an increasingly interconnected world, the ability to communicate effectively in another language is essential for academic achievement, professional development, intercultural understanding, and international cooperation. Foreign language teaching therefore requires more than the acquisition of grammatical rules and vocabulary; it should enable learners to use linguistic resources appropriately in different social, cultural, and professional contexts. This article examines the theoretical foundations of communicative competence, its major components, and its significance in the educational process. Particular attention is given to communicative language teaching, task-based learning, collaborative activities, and the integration of digital technologies into language instruction. The article also discusses the responsibilities of teachers in creating an interactive learning environment that encourages students to express their ideas, negotiate meaning, and develop confidence in communication. The analysis demonstrates that communicative competence should be regarded as both a central educational objective and a practical foundation for lifelong language learning.
